SUMMARY OF SESSIONS & FEES SESSION 1: Initial Couple Interview - 90min Followed by an online assessment - completed at home in your own time SESSION 2: Individual Sessions - 45min/person SESSION 3: Couple Feedback Session - 90min NEXT STEPS: Treatment Sessions - 1 hour (minimum 3) Cost: $150 per hour + (One off cost of approx $65 for online assessment) WHAT TO EXPECT At LifeWorks Counselling, we understand that taking the step to explore your relationship can feel a bit daunting, but we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our approach is based on the Gottman Method, an evidence-based therapy designed to highlight both the strengths and challenges within your relationship in a warm and welcoming environment. This method offers valuable insights into how your partnership functions, providing a solid foundation for lasting change. GETTING TO KNOW YOU Our three-session assessment phase begins with an engaging conversation about your relationship's history and journey to now. In the second session, we’ll conduct individual interviews that allow each of you to share your personal story, addressing hopes, fears, and any challenges in a supportive space. Finally, in the third session, we’ll review what we’ve learned together, celebrating your strengths and identifying areas for growth using the Gottman Sound Relationship House framework. PERSONALISED TREATMENT SESSIONS After reviewing the assessment findings, we’ll discuss personalised treatment options that are tailored specifically to your needs. We believe that introducing core exercises, based on the Gottman Method, is essential for fostering effective conflict management, improving interpersonal communication, and creating shared meaning and rituals of connection. Participating in these interactive sessions will help deepen your connection and strengthen the emotional bond you share.
